Stuart Tangye has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of immunology. Stuart started their career in 1996 as a Postdoc at DNAX Research Institute, where they worked until 1999. In 2000, they joined Centenary Institute as a Postdoc and later became a Senior Researcher until 2006. During this time, they also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Garvan Institute of Medical Research from 2006 to 2012. At Garvan Institute, they held various roles, including NHMRC Principal Research Fellow and Head of the Immunology Division. In 2012, Stuart Tangye joined UNSW Australia as an Associate Professor and later became a Professor in 2016. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Professor at Rockefeller University from 2015 to 2016. Stuart Tangye obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (Honors) in Immunology from the University of Technology Sydney, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Stuart further pursued their academic career at the same institution, completing their PhD in Immunology from 1992 to 1995.
