Tim Peters

Tim Peters has a strong background in computational science and bioinformatics. Tim started their career in 2004 as a Lab Attendant at The University of Sydney, where they performed tasks such as monitoring loans of notes and scientific equipment, clerical work, and occasional tutoring of biology. In 2005, they worked as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant at Apollo Life Sciences. Tim then moved on to St. Vincent's Hospital in 2006, where they worked as a Research Assistant. From 2007 to 2012, Tim pursued their PhD at Macquarie University while also working as a Research Assistant and a Tutor and Teaching Assistant for various statistics courses. In 2012, they joined CSIRO as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistical Genomics, where they worked until 2015. Currently, Tim is working as a Computational Scientist and a Bioinformatics Research Officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since 2015.

Tim Peters completed their Bachelor of Science (Bioinformatics) degree with honors from the University of Sydney, which they attended from 2001 to 2005. Tim then pursued further education at Macquarie University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics, completing their studies between 2007 and 2012.
