Weiwen Chen

Weiwen Chen has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Since 2014, they have been a Research Scholar at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. In 2016, they became a Consultant Endocrinologist at Sydney Medical Specialists. In 2017, they joined St Vincent's Health Australia as a Visiting Medical Officer and later became a Staff Specialist in 2019. Additionally, in 2017, they also began working at Osteoporosis Australia, where they served as the Clinical Lead of the Medical and Scientific Committee until 2020, when they became the Deputy Chair of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee.

Weiwen Chen completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree at The University of Western Australia from 2000 to 2005. From 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Sydney. In 2012, Weiwen Chen also engaged in the study of Endocrinology at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians for a period of two years. Lastly, Weiwen Chen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from UNSW from 2014 to 2019, although the field of study is not specified.
