William Figgett has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. William is currently employed as a Computational Biologist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Melbourne from January 2016 to January 2021. During this time, they also participated in the SPARK Melbourne program, which focuses on therapeutics research and development. William was a part of the ON Prime Research Team at CSIRO for a brief period from April 2019 to July 2019. Before joining The University of Melbourne, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Monash University from August 2013 to December 2015. Additionally, they had previous experience as a Postgraduate Scholar at Monash University from July 2009 to March 2013 and as a Postgraduate Scholar at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research from January 2008 to June 2009.
William Figgett completed their education in the field of Immunology. William obtained a PhD degree from UNSW between the years 2008 and 2013. Additionally, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Research Management and Commercialisation from UNSW from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, William Figgett enrolled in the University of Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Molecular Biology and Genetics.
