Dylan Bollen is a Data Scientist at Garvis, where they contribute to the development of an advanced demand planning and stock optimization system. Prior to their role at Garvis, Dylan was a PhD candidate at Macquarie University from March 2018 to April 2021, during which they were awarded the International Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship. Dylan was also a joint PhD candidate in Astrophysics at KU Leuven and Macquarie University from March 2017 to April 2021. Their work involved performing time-series analyses of data sets spanning over 10 years and developing time-efficient model-fitting routines using optimization techniques.
Dylan Bollen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from KU Leuven, starting in 2010 and ending in 2013. Following that, Dylan pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics and astronomy, specializing in Astronomy and astrophysics, also at KU Leuven. This program lasted from 2014 to 2016. In addition to these formal education qualifications, Dylan obtained a certification in "Databases and SQL for Data Science" from Coursera in November 2020.
