Gas Fast trading as Wickes Solar is a trusted UK solar provider built on over two decades of experience in home energy solutions. Originally known as Solar Fast, we earned recognition as one of the fastest-growing solar companies in the UK, driven by our commitment to quality, transparency, and exceptional customer service.

In 2024, our partnership with Wickes marked an important milestone in our journey, strengthening our ability to bring reliable, high-performance solar systems to homeowners nationwide. This collaboration reflects a shared vision: to make renewable energy more accessible, trusted, and straightforward for every customer.

In 2025, we evolved from Solar Fast to Wickes Solar, aligning our brand identity with this trusted partnership while maintaining the same family-run values and operational excellence that have defined our success. Every installation, from initial consultation to aftercare, continues to be fully managed by Gas Fast. Our customers benefit from a seamless, end-to-end experience—supported by dedicated design, installation, and technical teams that ensure quality at every stage.
Solar Fast have partnered with top solar energy industry organisations and bodies to ensure that our work is the finest, most professional that you can find. We value old-fashioned workmanship and integrity.

After we built Gas Fast, a nationwide-recognised boiler installation company in 2001, it was becoming ever-clearer that people were missing out on the potential solar energy.

Fast forward to 2022, Solar Fast is becoming one of the biggest solar panel installers in the UK – trusted by 1,000s of customers across the country, on a mission to stamp out fossil fuels and save on energy bills.

Today, Gas Fast trading as Wickes Solar stands as a symbol of trust and progress in the UK’s solar industry, combining the stability of an established energy company with the confidence of one of Britain’s most recognisable retail brands.
