Werna Udding

Werna Udding is an accomplished professional in the field of energy and business development, currently serving as Manager of Business Development H2 Offshore at Gasunie since December 2020. In this role, Werna is responsible for achieving Gasunie’s offshore hydrogen goals and also leads public affairs for the NortH2 consortium, which includes prominent companies like Shell and Equinor, focused on establishing a large-scale green hydrogen chain. Prior to Gasunie, Werna held various significant positions at Provincie Groningen, including Program Manager for Energy and Team Leader for Space and Energy, contributing to regional energy initiatives and economic development programs. Additionally, Werna has extensive experience as a Strategic Advisor for the Nationaal Coördinator Groningen, focusing on damage prevention from gas extraction, and has a strong background in project leadership within provincial government. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Work, Organization, and Personnel Psychology from the University of Groningen and completion of a Young Executive Program at de Baak.
