Shannon Smith

Shannon Smith began their work experience as an Editorial Intern at Tomorrow People in June 2014. After completing their internship, they became a Content Editor at the same company from December 2014 to January 2016. Shannon then transitioned to the role of Digital Marketing Executive from February 2016 to January 2017, where they worked closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement and execute promotional strategies. In January 2017, Shannon took on the role of Editorial Manager, where they managed the entire editorial process from research to publication for clients such as Centrica, Tech Data, TeamViewer, and Hydro International. During their time at Tomorrow People, they also contributed to content creation and optimization, management of content calendars, and collaboration with account directors, designers, and developers. In December 2018, Shannon joined Coin Rivet as a Content Manager, where they led an international team of copywriters and journalists, focusing on creating and optimizing content for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Shannon was responsible for assigning keywords, tracking content performance, utilizing analytics tools, creating content calendars for target markets, and supporting the marketing manager and editorial director in identifying new business opportunities. Shannon's most recent role is as a Marketing Executive at Gatekeeper, a cloud-based Supplier and Contract Management solution since March 2020.

Shannon Smith attended the University of Birmingham from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English. In addition to their degree, Shannon has pursued further education and obtained several certifications. Shannon completed an Online Copywriting course at Econsultancy in May 2015, became a Hootsuite Certified Professional through Hootsuite Media Inc. in May 2016, and obtained a Conversational Marketing Certified certification from Drift in June 2020. Shannon recently completed the Digital Marketing Specialist - Masters Program at Simplilearn in September 2022.
