Benjamin Gaddy

Benjamin Gaddy is a seasoned professional in the climate technology sector, currently serving as Senior Director at Breakthrough Energy since January 2020, where efforts focus on accelerating the deployment of climate technologies through the Breakthrough Energy Fellows program. Gaddy also holds the title of Director at Gates Ventures and has previously contributed as a Board Observer and Investor for multiple companies, including Darcy Solutions, Wright Electric, and C-Motive Technologies. With a strong background in venture capital investment in climate tech, Gaddy's earlier roles include Director of Investments and Chief Technology Officer at Clean Energy Trust. Gaddy's educational qualifications include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University.
