Christopher Damman

Christopher Damman, MD, MA, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington since March 2016, specializing in microbiome consultation within the Department of Medicine and Global Health while caring for patients with gastroenterological diseases. Damman holds multiple advisory roles, including Microbiome Advisor at Gates Ventures and Senior Research Advisor at Reference Capital, as well as positions on various advisory boards, such as Oobli and BCD Bioscience. Previously, Damman served as the Microbiome Initiative Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where key frameworks for addressing malnutrition were developed. Damman's educational background includes an MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and a Master's in Molecular Biology from Wesleyan University.
