Managing Director, Strategic Investments at Gates Ventures

Rodi Guidero's work experience includes various roles in different companies. In 1996, they started as an Associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as an Associate General Counsel at E*TRADE Financial. Afterwards, from 2000 to 2006, they served as the General Counsel at VantagePoint Venture Partners, and from 2006 to 2009, they held the position of General Counsel at ComVentures. In 2010, they worked as an Independent Consultant in venture capital, and at the same time, they were the Principal-Directed Investments at BMGI. Starting from 2017, they became a Board Member at Kymeta Corporation, and in 2016, they became the Managing Director of Strategic Investments at Gates Ventures. Currently, they serve as the Executive Director at Breakthrough Energy and also as the Managing Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a purpose-built investment firm that focuses on supporting companies working towards achieving net-zero emissions globally.

Rodi Guidero completed high school at South Whidbey High School, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. After that, they attended the University of Washington from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Following their undergraduate studies, Guidero went on to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Stanford Law School, which they successfully obtained from 1993 to 1996. No specific field of study is indicated for their law degree.
