Matthew Kearns

Matthew Kearns, CPA, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Director of Global Close Process & Controls at Gates Corporation since June 2025, following a tenure as Director of Global Consolidation at Tenneco from February 2021 to April 2025. Kearns has amassed extensive experience in financial reporting and auditing, having held key managerial roles at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where responsibilities included North America Internal Controls Group Lead, and at EY, where Kearns advanced from Staff to Senior Manager in Advisory and Assurance Services over a twelve-year period. Kearns began a career in finance with a Tax Intern position at General Motors and possesses a deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards. Kearns holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from Wayne State University.
