Sumit Agarwal

Sumit Agarwal's work experience includes roles in various companies and organizations. Sumit is currently the CEO & Co-founder of Gather, where they are focused on building a consumer product for the next billion users. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Shield Capital, where they assisted aspiring entrepreneurs in addressing significant challenges. Before that, they served as the Vice-President of Analytic Products at F5. Sumit also co-founded Shape Security and held the position of COO, playing a key role in creating a new category within security. Additionally, they worked as a Network Warfare Officer in the United States Air Force and held several positions at the US Department of Defense, including Senior Advisor for Cyber Innovation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense. Sumit also worked at Google, where they held various product management roles, including Head of Mobile Product Management for North America. Sumit started their career as a Pre-sales Engineer at Trilogy and later co-founded the geo-location start-up, Quova. Sumit has a diverse background with experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, product management, and cybersecurity.

Sumit Agarwal earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998. Sumit later pursued a Masters degree in the Art and Science of Military Operations from the United States Air Force - Air University, which they completed between 2008 and 2010.
