Tarun Chitra

Tarun Chitra is the Founder & CEO at Gauntlet. Tarun was previously with Vatic Labs as Quantitative Research and Development from September 2016 to May 2018. Prior to that, they were with D. E. Shaw Research as Scientific Associate and Programmer from July 2011 to September 2016.

Before joining D. E. Shaw Research, they were with Robot Ventures. Tarun started their career with Energy Recovery Linear Accelerator Group as Student Research in May 2010 and worked there till September 2010.

In June 2009, they joined AstraZeneca R&D as Clinical Development Intern and worked on various projects like developing a drug-database search engine and evaluating psychological trials using mathematical techniques.

Tarun Chitra completed their B.A. in Mathematics at Cornell University and their B.S. in Applied Engineering Physics at Cornell University. Tarun then attended the Charter School of Wilmington.

Some direct reports include Rei Chiang - Founder & CTO, Nicholas Cannon - Head of Growth, and Paul Lei - Protocol Program Manager.
