Walter Cavinaw, CFA, is a seasoned Quant/Data Scientist currently working as a Product Engineer at Odos. Previously, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at Gauntlet, where they designed and implemented a portfolio management and execution system for DeFi. Before that, Walter was the Investment Analyst and Quant Team Lead at Variant Perception, focusing on building investment models and conducting macro research. Their early career included roles as an Investment Analyst at Orbis Investments and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia. Walter's expertise spans various markets, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to drive meaningful advancements in society.
