Chief Researcher at Gauss Algorithmic

Jiri Polcar has a strong background in software engineering and research, with over 20 years of experience. Jiri started their career as a Research Scientist at The Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in 2000, where they conducted research in the field of astronomy. In 2006, they joined Acision as a Software Engineer, where they worked on developing software applications. Jiri then moved to Seznam.cz in 2011, where they served as a Programmer for a year. In 2012, Jiri Polcar joined Gauss Algorithmic as Chief Researcher, where they focused on developing scalable applications with complex architecture in the advertising domain and implementing stream processing systems for real-time bidding (RTB) and big data analysis. Their expertise includes machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing.

Jiri Polcar pursued their education at Masaryk University Brno, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Physics from 1995 to 2000. Jiri further expanded their academic achievements by continuing their studies at the same university, specializing in Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics. Jiri successfully completed their doctoral degree, earning a PhD in Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics from Masaryk University Brno between 2000 and 2005.
