Gazelle Ventures was built around a simple belief: fast growing companies should not have to leave home to succeed.

Tampa Bay has no shortage of talented founders, strong universities, and ambitious ideas. Yet for years, many of the region’s most promising startups were forced to look outside the region for early capital and long term support. Too often, that meant relocating key teams or decision making just as those companies began to create real impact.

Founded by local veteran investors Ashby Green and Kim Vogel, Gazelle Ventures was created to close that gap and redefine venture capital for Tampa Bay.

We invest in high growth “gazelle companies,” businesses capable of scaling quickly, creating jobs, and driving long term economic growth, while choosing to build and grow right here. Rather than encouraging companies to relocate, we help founders scale while keeping their roots in the community that made them possible.

Our approach is powered by more than capital. Gazelle Ventures is backed by a network of local investors who serve as trusted advisors and subject matter experts, actively supporting portfolio companies as they grow. Through patient capital, deep ecosystem connections, and an unwavering commitment to local hiring, we’re proving that Tampa Bay companies can compete and thrive without abandoning home.

The result is competitive returns for investors, high value jobs for the region, and a self sustaining innovation economy that continues to earn Tampa Bay recognition as Forbes’ #1 Emerging Tech City.

We’re not just investing in companies. We’re building the long term prosperity of the place we call home.
