William Tappe

William Tappe, MD has extensive experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. William is currently serving as the Senior Medical Director at Global Blood Therapeutics since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Jazz Pharmaceuticals where they held multiple positions including Senior Director of Clinical Development for Hematology/Oncology from January 2017 to December 2019. William also served as the Director of Clinical Development for Hematology/Oncology and as the Medical Director of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance during their tenure at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Before joining Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Tappe worked at Gilead Sciences as an Associate Director of Drug Safety & Public Health from April 2013 to May 2015. Earlier in their career, they practiced as a Physician at the Veterans Administration from 2003 to 2005 and at Sutter Hospital from 2000 to 2003.

William Tappe, MD obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Community Health Care from the University of California, Davis, from 1985 to 1987. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from UC-San Francisco, completing it from 1987 to 1992, specializing in Medicine.
