Dan B.

Dan B. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Dan started their career as a Reconnaissance Marine in the US Marine Corps from 1990 to 1994. Dan then worked as a Sr. Account Manager in the security services industry at Allied Universal from 1994 to 1996. Dan further expanded their skills by working as a Sr. Project Manager in security systems at Diebold Nixdorf from 1996 to 1999. Later, they joined Danet Consult GmbH as a Sr. Consultant specializing in enterprise software from 1999 to 2001.

From 2001 to 2007, Dan B. worked in the role of Director Strategic Sourcing at EarthLink Internet. Dan then joined PurchasingNet, Inc. as the Director of Supply Chain Systems from 2007 to 2010. In the same year, they also worked as a Director of Purchasing/Contractor at McKesson.

Continuing their career in procurement and sourcing, Dan B. held the position of VP & Chief Procurement Officer at CGI from 2010 to 2017. During this time, they established the vision and strategy for sourcing and procurement across multiple countries, provided leadership for a team of professionals, and drove substantial savings.

In 2017, Dan B. worked as an Independent Consultant in Procurement & Sourcing Consultancy, where they held the role of VP Consulting Services. In this role, they provided consultancy services and partnered with clients to identify cost savings and improvement opportunities across various categories.

Most recently, Dan B. joined GCI General Communication, Inc. as the VP Supply Chain & Chief Procurement Officer in 2017.

Dan B. pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1996 to 2002, they attended The George Washington University School of Business, where they obtained a Masters Certificate in Project Management with a focus on Information Technology Project Management. Following this, from 2020 to 2024, they enrolled in the American Public University System. Here, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management & Reverse Logistics.
