Gary Stewart

Gary Stewart is a seasoned professional in governance, risk management, and audit, currently serving as the Director of Governance and Risk Assurance at Scottish Enterprise since May 2023. With extensive experience in various leadership roles, Gary has previously held positions such as Director of Audit for Scottish Enterprise, Group Chief Internal Auditor for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, and Head of Assurance & Risk at Low Carbon Contracts Company. Gary has also contributed to the education sector as a Board Trustee and Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee at GDST, and has been involved with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors as a Council Director.
