Andrew Sharp

Andrew Sharp is a highly experienced Senior Engineer at GE Aviation since June 2009, specializing in the development and characterization of nonferrous alloys for aircraft engine applications, particularly Ti forged products. Prior to GE Aviation, Andrew served as a Materials Research Engineer at Solidica, Inc., where responsibilities included developing metallic laminar composite materials for armor applications. Additionally, experience includes a technology co-op at GE Lighting, focusing on CVD infrared reflective coatings, and an internship at GKSS, studying parameters for metal injection molded Ti-6-4 and Gamma TiAl powders. Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
