Dave Abbott

Dave Abbott has over 30 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. Dave started their career at Pratt & Whitney as a Welding Engineer in 1992. Dave then worked at AeroMet Corporation as a Development Manager from 1997 to 2005. Dave joined GE Aviation in 2005 as a Principal Engineer, specializing in Additive Manufacturing. Dave continued to work with GE, transitioning to their subsidiary, GE Additive, as a Principal Engineer from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Dave is employed at GE Aerospace since 2019, where they hold the position of Principal Engineer - Chief Engineering and Senior Staff Engineer - Additive Manufacturing.

Dave Abbott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1988, followed by a Master of Science degree in Welding Engineering from the same university in 1992.
