David Erickson

David Erickson is the Systems Engineering Lead for the HEX Hybrid-Electric Powerplant at GE Aerospace, where they lead a multidisciplinary team in developing a hybrid-electric powerplant for Sikorsky's HEX VTOL flight demonstration vehicle. Prior to this role, David served as an Engineering Manager for Science & Technology Programs and held positions as a fan and compressor aerodynamicist, contributing to advanced aircraft engine technologies. David earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in aerospace engineering from MIT and has a strong background in system-level coordination, technology maturation, and aerodynamic design. Outside of their professional endeavors, David enjoys spending time with family and engaging in outdoor activities such as backpacking, hunting, skiing, and mountain biking.
