David Robbins

David Robbins has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David currently works at GE Aerospace as a Principal Engineer and Lead Flight Safety Investigator and has been with the company since 2010. In this role, their responsibilities include conducting on-site wreckage examination and engine examinations for accident and incident investigations. Prior to this, David held various positions at GE Aerospace, including Flight Safety Investigator/Senior Engineer and Flight Safety Investigator/Staff Engineer.

Before joining GE Aerospace, David worked as a Lead Project Engineer at Belcan Engineering from 2005 to 2010. David also gained experience in design engineering at Butler International from 2004 to 2005. In addition, they served as an Engineering Coop at Sikorsky Aircraft in 2002 and interned at the City of Chicago - Department of Aviation in 2001.

David's career started with volunteer work at the Civil Air Patrol in 1996.

David Robbins graduated from Merrillville High School in 2000, earning a high school degree. In 2005, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. In 2013, David obtained an Aviation Safety & Security Certificate from the University of Southern California. Furthermore, they pursued a Masters degree in Business from Xavier University during 2012-2013. David also holds a Commercial Aircraft Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in 1999.
