Ed Smock

Ed Smock is a highly experienced Principal Infrastructure Architect currently at GE Aerospace, focusing on the design of new Colo hosting environments and automated server OS patch solutions. Prior to this role, Ed held various positions at GE and its subsidiaries, where responsibilities included the design and deployment of VxRail with VMware clusters, the integration of on-prem cloud solutions with AWS and Azure, and educating teams on cloud-based initiatives. With a background in designing internal cloud computing solutions and implementing software-defined storage, Ed has demonstrated expertise in high-performance computing environments and disaster recovery processes. Ed Smock earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from PennWest California.
