John Moakley

John Moakley is an experienced engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, obtained in 2011. John began a career at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute from 2006 to 2011 as an Engineering Assistant, focusing on designing and testing mechanisms for submarine research. John then worked at Exelon Nuclear as an Engineer I, where monitoring equipment reliability and leading root cause analysis for plant trips were key responsibilities. From 2019 to 2021, John held the position of Staff Engineer at GE Aerospace, managing turbine module structures across various engine lines, and was instrumental in leading component improvement programs. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at GE Aerospace since April 2021, John oversees a team of 18 and directs numerous projects related to engine qualification, manufacturing improvements, and customer-funded programs.
