Mark Hing

Mark Hing is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in GIS and FinTech. Currently serving as a Senior Services Manager and Tech Lead at GE Vernova since February 2020, Mark focuses on innovative GIS solutions for Utilities and Fortune 500 companies, leading projects that integrate Smallworld GIS with cloud technologies. As President and CEO of Aptus Communications Inc. since September 1999, Mark specializes in Wealth Management applications. Previous roles include GIS Analyst at FortisBC, where Mark managed Smallworld GIS applications, and CTO at AML Solutions LLC, providing consulting to utilities. Mark's career also includes positions at GE Power, BC Hydro, IBM, and the Neil Squire Society, showcasing a diverse background in technology development and implementation. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Economics from Simon Fraser University.
