Robert Rayson

Robert Rayson, Eng., P.Eng. is a Mechanical Engineer currently serving as Lead Mechanical Engineer for Hydro generators at GE Vernova. They have a strong background in mechanical design, including significant experience with CAD tools, prototyping, and manufacturing optimization. Previously, Robert held various engineering roles at companies such as Telesystem Énergie, Amaris, and General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada, where they contributed to design and analysis projects across multiple sectors. Robert earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, where they also worked in a Makerspace, enhancing their skills in 3D printing and technical communication.
