Simon O'Connor is currently a Lead Engineer in Customer Applications at GE Vernova, a position held since 2022. With previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer at Powersystems UK and a Power Systems Engineer at GE Power Conversion, Simon has specialized in power and propulsion systems within the marine and offshore industry. Simon also served as a Principal Marine Engineer at Rolls-Royce, where they developed bespoke electrical propulsion system designs for naval ship programs. Simon earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power Systems from Cork Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2012.
