Troy Beechner

Troy Beechner is a highly experienced Principal Engineer specializing in power electronics, currently employed at GE Vernova since May 2025, where responsibilities include system analysis, design, build, and testing of power electronic converter systems. Prior to this role, Troy served as Chief Engineer and Senior Vice President of Engineering at RCT Systems, leading the development of advanced military power converter systems focused on wide bandgap designs and energy storage solutions. Previous positions include Power Electronics Technology Lead at Mainstream Engineering Corporation, with significant contributions to a variety of power electronics projects, and Lab Director/Senior Electrical Engineer at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, overseeing testing of advanced motor control algorithms and naval R&D laboratories. Troy holds a PhD in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, along with a Master's and Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
