Sherif Elsayed has a diverse background in engineering and research, beginning with an internship focused on the thermal utilization of biomass at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in 2010. Following this, Sherif served as a Scientific Assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from February 2013 to February 2016, and then at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in 2011. Sherif continued to enhance expertise as a Postdoctoral Associate and Process Engineer at Duke University between February 2016 and May 2017. Subsequently, Sherif worked as a Chemical Engineer - Thermal Processes at K-UTEC AG SALT TECHNOLOGIES from July 2018 to January 2023, before taking on the role of Project Manager at GEA Group in February 2023.
