Alf Moens

Alf Moens is a seasoned professional in information security, currently serving as a Senior Information Security Officer and Workpackage Lead at GÉANT since April 2016, where contributions include leading the GN4-3 WP8 security initiative and serving as a member of the GÉANT Community Committee. Prior experience includes roles as Corporate Security Officer at SURF/SURFnet, where Alf coordinated information security strategies for Dutch higher education, and Vice-chairman at PvIB. Alf has held academic positions as a lecturer on information security at Hogeschool Utrecht and Brabant Business School, as well as serving as Information Security Manager at Delft University of Technology. Early career experience includes consulting roles at D-Lijn and Clear Solutions Group, along with project management at Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer and infrastructure management at RCC-IVEV. Alf holds a Master’s degree in Information Security Management from TIASNimbas Business School and a degree in Computer Science from Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
