Rick Havern

Rick Havern has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Rick started their career in 1986 as an Electronic and Computer Repair Technician in the US Air Force, where they served for 11 years. After leaving the military, they worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Ionica from 1997 to 1999. Rick then joined Telstra International, starting as an Implementation and Support Engineer and eventually becoming the European Network Engineering Manager, with various roles between 1999 and 2012. In 2012, Rick worked as a Network Architect for a contractor before joining GEANT Limited. At GEANT Limited, they held the role of Head of Network Engineering, overseeing a team responsible for designing, planning, and managing the GÉANT network. Rick Havern's work experience demonstrates their expertise in network engineering and architecture.

Rick Havern attended Cathedral Prep from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Diploma in General Studies. Later, from 1985 to 1986, they enrolled at Case Western Reserve University, where they pursued Mechanical Engineering but did not obtain a degree.
