Sarah Hughes (AFHEA) has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sarah is currently serving as the Head of Learning & Development at GÉANT, where they lead the L&D efforts for the organization and the research and education communities it serves. Prior to GÉANT, Sarah worked as an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes Business School, where they utilized a Learning Management System to deliver blended learning interventions and ensured the inclusion of diversity in all interventions.

Before that, Sarah worked as an L&D Specialist and Executive Coach at Insphere Coaching, where they developed evidence-based interventions informed by adult learning principles to bring about cultural change within organizations. Additionally, they worked as a Corporate Trainer and Presentation Coach at Benjamin Ball Associates, and as a Sales Manager at Interactive Data Corporation (now ICE), where they achieved top sales in pricing data and directed stakeholder relationships with investment management firms.
