Vincenzo Capone has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Vincenzo started their career in 1997 as an Administrative Assistant at Università degli Studi Roma Tre. Vincenzo then moved on to work as an Administrative Assistant at Università degli Studi di Salerno for four years. In 2002, they joined the University of Naples Federico II as an Administrative Assistant, where they were responsible for the Teaching Office for Physics and Computer Science students. Vincenzo also worked as a Lecturer and a Technical Officer during their time at the university. In 2010, Vincenzo joined INFN as a Technical Associate for five years. Vincenzo then worked at CERN as an Associate User from 2012 to 2014. Currently, they are working at GÉANT since 2013 and has held various roles, including Business Development Officer, Senior Technical Business Development Officer, and Head of Research Engagement and Support.

Vincenzo Capone holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Naples Federico II, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Vincenzo also earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing it from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their academic degrees, they have obtained several certifications including ITIL Service Strategy, PRINCE2(R) Foundation, PRINCE2(R) Practitioner in Project Management, ITIL(R) Foundation certificate in Service Management, IPv6 Silver Certified Engineer, and CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate.
