Vern Bittner

Vern Bittner is a seasoned video game industry professional with extensive experience in production roles. Currently serving as a Senior Producer at Gearbox Software since February 2019, Vern previously held the title of Senior Producer and Producer at 2K Games from July 2006 to February 2019, overseeing notable titles such as Civilization V, XCOM Enemy Unknown, and XCOM 2. Vern's career began with a foundation in quality assurance, working as a Senior Tester and QA Lead Tester, where responsibilities included managing test plans and mentoring team members. Vern's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from Caltech and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Chemistry from the University of Wyoming.
