Geared4Careers provides support to over 1800 students across 22 secondary schools in regional Victoria.

The program is embedded in local secondary schools and is assisting youth, in the region, to remain engaged in school and transition to further education or employment.

Our Geared4Careers Program Officers work with our participants to inspire, teach and support them through activities such as:

- Resume building
- Obtain identification documents (e.g., birth certificate, Immicard)
- Obtain bank account
- Obtain tax file number
- Assist with securing employment opportunities with local employers
- Assist with learners permits
- Assist with obtaining qualifications
- Assist with applying for work experience
- Running industry tours – engaging with local employers
- Running mock interviews
- Attending career day information
- Supporting transition to secondary or further education

Whilst participating in Geared4Careers, students work towards achieving their full potential at school and in the workforce.

The overall goal for Geared4Careers, is to create an environment where students feel connected with their schools and have access to every opportunity available to them.

One size does not fit all and as such, Geared4Careers’ parameters are flexible to meet the needs of each individual participant. The program works to complement, not duplicate, each school’s current services and curriculum.
