Head, Product Design at Gearset

Stephen Chambers is the current Head of Product Design at Gearset. Prior to this, they worked as a User Experience Specialist at Red Gate Software from August 2007 to January 2015. Before that, they were a Research Associate at the Applied Vision Research Centre from April 2006 to July 2007.

Stephen has extensive experience in human factors and design, with a particular interest in the development, evaluation and improvement of systems, processes and products in which people play an integral role. Stephen has conducted user research sessions and created prototypes for various user interfaces throughout their career.

One of Stephen's most notable projects was with the medical industry, researching and providing insights into the interpretation of medical image scans. Through their work, they have helped make complex problems more manageable for Microsoft technology professionals worldwide.

Dr. Stephen Chambers is a cognitive psychologist and human-computer interaction researcher who obtained their PhD from Cardiff University. Stephen also holds an MRes in human computer interaction from Lancaster University, as well as a BSc in psychology from the same school.

Some individuals on their team include Richard Owen - Senior Product Manager, Pedro Caldeira - Marketing Coordinator, and Piotr Zuralski - Senior Product Manager. Their manager is Matt Dickens, CPO & Co-Founder. They work with Adam Parker - Head, UX, Alice Easey - Development Manager, and Jamie Wallis - Product Marketing Manager.
