Mohan Karki

Mohan Karki is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineering Manager at GEICO since July 2025, Karki has previously held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at Expedia Group from April 2013 to July 2025. In this role, Karki built and led a managed Agentic AI service that integrated Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent agents. Additionally, Karki led backend and machine learning engineering within Expedia's Conversation Platform team, focusing on scalable microservices and natural language understanding capabilities. Earlier experience includes a role as Software Engineer III at T-Mobile, where Karki developed an Interactive Voice Response system, and as a Software Engineer at VOICEXNET Technologies Private Limited, specializing in contact center software development. Karki holds a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University and a Machine Learning certificate from Cornell University.
