Robert Zhang

Robert Zhang is currently a Software Engineer Intern at Flexcompute since May 2023 and holds positions as a Senior Advisor and Treasurer for the Chinese Student Association at the University of Maryland, College Park, where management of funds exceeding $10,000 is a key responsibility. Robert also serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, contributing to the development of the Astronomy software NEMO and resolving longstanding bugs. Previous experience includes roles at Whole Foods Market as a Cashier and at Target as a Guest Advocate, focusing on customer service and problem-solving. Additionally, Robert was a Research Member at FIRE: Autonomous Unmanned Systems, enhancing programming skills in Python and Blender, and co-founded the Winchester Math Competition, aimed at engaging elementary students in competitive math. Robert Zhang is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, expected to graduate in May 2024.
