Ekaterine Papiashvili

Ekaterine Papiashvili has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Ekaterine started their career as an Audit Assistant at Deloitte, where they prepared business process descriptions and audits for clients in various sectors. Ekaterine then moved on to Bank of Georgia, where they served as a Senior Analyst, preparing managerial reports and financial statements for over 200 entities.

Ekaterine also worked at GT Georgia as a Fractional CFO, helping the company grow to a revenue exceeding $2 million by setting up accounting and control systems. Ekaterine founded Cresco Consulting, where they served as a fractional CFO and controller for multiple startups, managing daily operations and supporting long-term decision-making processes.

Additionally, Ekaterine worked at Leo Institute as a Fractional CFO, where they set up financial infrastructure and ran sensitivity and scenario analysis to outperform goals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ekaterine also worked as a Finance Specialist at Toptal, completing various financial projects on a contract basis.

Furthermore, they taught finance courses at International Black Sea University as an Invited Lecturer for five years, covering topics such as financial reporting, managerial finance, and investment analysis.

Currently, Ekaterine is a Fractional CFO at Geisel Software, Inc., responsible for managing day-to-day operations and implementing financial processes that support the company's growth.

Ekaterine Papiashvili completed their education in a chronological manner. Ekaterine obtained a Master's degree in Business Analytics: Operational Research and Risk Analysis from The University of Manchester, from 2013 to 2014. Before that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in ESM Business School - Finance from the Free University of Tbilisi, graduating between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, they pursued a Minor in Turkish Language from the Institute of Asia and Africa at the Free University of Tbilisi, during the period of 2010 to 2012.

Furthermore, Ekaterine has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they received the Commercial Banking & Credit Analyst (CBCA)® certification from the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). Ekaterine also obtained the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA)® certification from CFI in the same year. In 2018, they received the Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2016 certification from Microsoft. Additionally, they earned the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA in 2013 and obtained the Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA in the same year.
