Lan Wang has worked in the field of biochemistry since 1996. Starting as a Senior Associate Scientist at Biotransplant Inc., they then moved to Takeda Pharmaceuticals (formerly Millennium) as a Senior Research Associate in 2000. In 2002, they became a Senior Research Investigator at Praecis Pharmaceuticals, and then a Research Scientist in 2004 at Foldrx Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Pfizer). In 2007, they joined Novartis as a Scientist II Analytical Biochemistry, where they developed hydrophobic interaction chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration, Ni-affinity and human albumin affinity purifications for protein and lipid-proteins, as well as endotoxin removal methods by applying detergents. Lan has been a Principal Scientist at Gel4Med, LLC since 2015.
Lan Wang holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from China Medical University and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from UMass Boston, where they studied Biotechnology and Biomedical Science.
