Dr. Michael J. Cima is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holding the David H. Koch Chair of Engineering. Elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2011, they are actively involved in improving human health through materials and engineered systems, particularly in cancer and metabolic disease treatments. Prof. Cima has authored over two hundred peer-reviewed publications, is a recognized expert in materials processing, and has significant entrepreneurial experience, including co-founding several companies such as MicroChips Inc. and T2 Biosystems.
