Prior to Gem, they worked at Sygnia from 2019 to 2022, where they held the positions of R&D Team Lead and Software Engineer. In their role as R&D Team Lead, Yoav was responsible for leading a team and managing research and development projects. As a Software Engineer, they contributed to the development of software solutions.
Before Sygnia, Yoav served in the Israel Defense Forces from 2013 to 2019. During their tenure, they held multiple roles including R&D Team Lead, Team Lead, and Software Engineer. Yoav gained extensive experience in team leadership and software development during this time.
In 2008, Yoav started their career at Focal Point Ltd. as a Software Developer. Yoav worked part-time during the school years and full-time during summer vacations. Yoav was involved in the development of a rating and billing system for a wholesale VOIP company.
Additionally, Yoav worked as a Freelance PHP Developer, taking on multiple freelance jobs on platforms like GetAFreelancer.com (now Freelancer.com) in 2010.
Prior to entering the professional field, Yoav had experience as an Audio/Visual Tech at Camp Lavi in 2009, where they were responsible for sound systems, stage lighting, video projection, and basic video filming and editing.
In their high school years at Torah and Science Yeshiva High School, Yoav served as a Website Developer, handling the development and maintenance of the school's website using PHP and MySQL database.
Throughout their career, Yoav has demonstrated a strong technical skillset and a passion for software engineering and development.
Yoav Koplon completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The Open University of Israel, during the period of 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the Jerusalem College of Technology in 2012. Yoav's education journey started at the Torah and Science Yeshiva High School, where they achieved full matriculation in Computer Science & Electronics in 2011.
