Stuart Gokey

Operations Manager, West Region at GEM Technologies, Inc.

Stuart Gokey has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and construction industry. Starting in 1991 at the Idaho National Laboratory, they gained experience in nuclear facility operations and progressed to multiple roles requiring technical expertise and management skills until 2004. Stuart then joined the Idaho National Laboratory as an Operations Associate. From 2005 to 2009, Stuart worked at CWI as a Supervisor/Subcontract Technical Representative, overseeing the demolition of radioactive and hazardous structures. Stuart then joined the Savannah River National Lab as a Subcontract Technical Representative, managing a cooling tower implosion and demolition project. Stuart also worked at Safety and Ecology Corporation as a Superintendent, overseeing the demolition of highly radioactive and hazardous material contaminated hot cell buildings. Stuart then joined Misko Inc as a Superintendent/Safety Oversight, focusing on safety, compliance, and training. Stuart later joined Braun Intertec Corporation as a Construction Material Coordinator, managing construction material testing technicians. Stuart then held roles at Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) and Chicago Bridge and Iron MOX project as a Test Manager and Construction Test Manager, respectively. Currently, Stuart is working at GEM Technologies, Inc. as an Operations Manager, West Region, and previously served as a Project Manager.

Stuart Gokey's education history begins in 1982 when they joined the US Navy, where they studied nuclear power theory and operations. Stuart completed their naval education in 1988. In 1990, Stuart attended Eastern Idaho Technical College, earning a Certificate of Applied Science in QA/QC in 1991. Moving forward, from 2008 to 2012, they attended Columbia Southern University, where they obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Industrial Safety and Health.
