Bert Balkema

Bert Balkema has extensive experience in landscaping and traffic management, beginning as a Hovenier and Meewerkend Voorman at SIGHT Landscaping from 2001 to 2004, focusing on maintenance and construction of green spaces. Following this, from 2013 to the present, Bert works as a Beroepsverkeersregelaar at Verkeersgroep 't Hogeland, promoting traffic flow during emergencies. Currently, since February 2024, Bert serves as a Toezichthouder in de openbare ruimte at Gemeente Eemsdelta. Additional roles include positions at various landscaping and horticultural companies, with significant responsibilities in garden design, maintenance, and public green space upkeep. Bert possesses a solid educational background in horticulture from Terra College and MAVO from Chr. Scholengemeenschap Hunsingo.
