David Finlay

David Finlay currently serves as the Corporate Responsibility Manager at Gemfields Group, focusing on responsible colored gemstone mining in Zambia and Mozambique. Prior to this role, David led impact initiatives for The Impact Facility, collaborating with investors and corporate partners to promote responsible mineral production. David has an extensive background at The Fairtrade Foundation, holding multiple senior positions where significant contributions included developing strategies for Fairtrade cocoa and gold, as well as securing over $14 million in grant funding. David's earlier experience includes a fundraising role at Food for the Hungry UK. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in International Development from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Exeter.
