Richard Pyke

Richard Pyke is a Group Legal Manager at Gemfields Group since February 2018, overseeing legal matters across various business sectors, including operations primarily in Africa, while reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary. Prior to this role, Richard served as an Associate at Watson, Farley & Williams from August 2012 to December 2017, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and private equity. Richard has a diverse legal background, having completed a series of trainee solicitor positions in asset finance, corporate law, litigation, and employment. Earlier experience includes organizing VIP trips for The Cricket Tour Company during the 2010/2011 Ashes Tour and participating in summer vacation schemes at multiple prestigious law firms. Richard holds an LPC in Law from the College of Law Moorgate and a Law and Business degree from the University of Warwick, and is currently a Student Member at The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, starting January 2024.
