Soundappan Jayaraj is an accomplished professional with 24 years of experience in asset management and expertise in maintenance, servicing, planning, and budgeting for heavy mobile equipment and plants within the mining industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Engineering HEMM at Gemfields Group, Soundappan has previously held positions such as Head of Engineering Deputy General Manager at Thriveni EarthMovers and Head of Maintenance at Al Hajiry Trading LLC. Soundappan's background also includes roles as a Senior Service Engineer for Caterpillar dealers and extensive experience in implementing predictive maintenance strategies and managing large maintenance teams. Soundappan is currently pursuing an MBA in Industrial Management and holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
