Toby Hewitt is a Group Legal and Corporate Affairs Director with extensive experience in the legal and corporate sectors, particularly in mining and energy. With over 25 years of post-qualification experience, Toby has held roles in both international private practice and in-house settings, demonstrating expertise in areas such as operational risk management, corporate finance, and ESG. Toby's career includes significant positions at various organizations, including Solicitor roles at Hogan Lovells and Herbert Smith Freehills, and as Group General Counsel at Dart Energy. Toby is also a Fellow of the UK Chartered Governance Institute and currently chairs the Gemfields Group ESG Committee. Toby's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Durham University and qualifications to practice law in England and Wales, as well as Victoria, Australia.
